Job Posting for Certified Payroll / Prevailing Wage SpecialistJob descriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized certified payroll / prevailing wage specialist to join our growing team.
In this position, you will be responsible for certified payroll reporting, labor compliance, prevailing wage compliance on public work projects, daily timekeeping, employee tracking, and more.
The certified payroll specialist must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience submitting certified payroll and working knowledge of various labor compliance requirements within the construction or related industry.
Weekly payroll will consist of regular payroll and Certified Payroll processing and uploads.
Required Construction Certified Payroll Administrator Duties and
Responsibilities:
Certified and prevailing wage payroll reporting & uploadingPrevailing wage compliance for CA public works as a general contractor and subcontractor.
Analyzes and enforces compliance with prevailing wage rate requirements.
Submittal of prevailing wage forms.
Compliance & fringe benefits regulations on public works projects with general contractor labor compliance monitor.
Researches and interprets changes to prevailing wage regulations.
Ability to read through contracts for project compliance requirements.
Requirements:
Bi-Lingual is a must, English/SpanishMinimum 2 years' experience with prevailing wage payroll processing.
Computer Skills:
proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & OutlookExperience using Certified Payroll software, and third party software such as AON, Oracle, Textura, Procore, DIR, SewUp, etc.
Experience with using 3rd party payroll services.
Effective and professional communication skills.
Problem solving and organization skills.
Most be detailed oriented.
Must be able to work on tight deadlines and take responsibility for meeting those deadlines.
Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a can do attitude.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Willing and able to cross train and take on a variety of tasks as needed.
Schedule:
7am - 4 pm dailyDay shiftMonday to FridayAnnual Compensation:
$60,000-$65,000 (depending on experience level)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
