Job Overview:
Shin Yen is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Assistant who will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and subcontractor management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key
Responsibilities:
? Plan, organize, and oversee all construction project phases, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
? Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and according to specifications.
? Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints.
? Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress, ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
? Address any issues or concerns that arise during construction, and implement corrective measures as needed to keep projects on track.
? Manage and coordinate subcontractor activities, including procurement, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
? Review and approve project plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring adherence to building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
? Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all project personnel.
? Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients, providing updates on project status, budget, and schedule.
? Manage all phases of the construction process, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
? Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
? Prepare and present progress reports, financial reports, and other project documentation to management and stakeholders.
? Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
? Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures and implement best practices to optimize project outcomes.
? Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and promote a culture of safety and accountability among construction teams.
Qualifications:
? Associate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
? Proven experience in construction management.
? Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
? Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
? Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and teamwork.
? Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
? Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
? Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
? Understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.
? Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
