Sr. Tax Manager - Riverside, CA Area

Top logistics company is seeking an experienced senior tax manager. The ideal candidate possesses technical strengths and leadership abilities to build, grow and mentor a successful team.
Bachelors or Masters of Accounting or Finance
National and international tax experience, mergers and acquisitions experience a plus
8 to 10 years experience in a CPA firm or large publicly traded company
Partnerships, real estate, 'Big 4' experience preferred
In-depth knowledge of Partnership tax accounting, cost segregation, real estate/depreciation tax law, property tax valuations & disputes, and use tax minimization
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for building a Tax team and managing all aspects of federal, state and local tax strategy, compliance, planning and reporting
Oversee preparation of all federal, state and local returns
Manage field audits and property tax assessment issues
Perform cost segregation studies, nexus studies, Section 199 calculations, Section 704 calculations
Provide analysis on tax credits, including WOTC, Empowerment Zone, R&D and New Markets, maximize available state and local tax incentives
Acquisition planning, structuring, due diligence and post-acquisition integration

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
