Software Development and Implementation Manager
THE COMPANY
Alvarado is a 58 year old company. Our growing sports & entertainment division uses our core platform software products, GateLink 10 and VenueView360, to provide gate control, loyalty and membership solutions to professional sports teams, facilities and destination venues.
JOB SUMMARY
The Development and Implementation Manager's role is to provide technical leadership to our teams of onshore and offshore software developers, and to interface with key Alvarado clients. In this position, you will report directly to senior management, serving as a key member of the Alvarado Sports & Entertainment division's development team. The Development and Implementation Manager is also responsible for communicating and coordinating functionality requirements to the development team, as well as overseeing coordination of interfaces to third-party systems. The person chosen for this position will use proven communication and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide our development teams on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of Alvarado systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage software development for our enterprise loyalty platform and gate admission products
- Perform day-to-day management, project management, intergroup communication, planning and assessments
- Lead efforts to define high level development objectives, and make those objectives a part of how we do things
- Track/measure performance of development and QA testing efforts from requirements to delivery
- Function as project lead for third-party integrations and implementations
- Coordinate/provide resources/guidance for technical support team members to ensure that documentation, training materials, testing procedures and delivery of products is meeting customer requirements
- Serve as a key member of management teams, including Entertainment Software Development and Entertainment Support teams
- Serve as a primary technical and/or support contact for certain key accounts for purposes of troubleshooting/escalating critical support issues
REQUIREMENTS
- BS/MS in computer science, engineering, MIS or equivalent experience
- Software development and design experience building complex web based applications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including MS SQL Server and .Net
- Strong knowledge/understanding of networks, web services/API's for third-party system integrations
- Experience leading development or implementation teams
- Knowledge and experience with software development methodologies and best practices
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to comprehend detailed technical documents
- Ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize and solve problem under tight deadlines and resource constraints.
- Experience working with or managing offshore development teams would be a plus

This opportunity will be based in our Chino, CA office and offers technical and professional growth opportunities. Travel may be required. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
