As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for the quality of the construction elements of a project and advises regarding the effectiveness of the process quality control performed to ensure design and construction elements are in compliance with contract specifications on large projects.
Communicates directly with company management
Supervise and direct on-site personnel involved in quality control work
Prepare, obtain approval, issue and implement company quality control program manual in compliance with owner contract and agency requirements
Provide necessary outgoing correspondence and insure compliance and/or correctness
Participate in review board meetings to resolve nonconformance areas; follow up to insure corrections are implemented
Supervise internal/external audits to insure quality control requirements are implemented and/or maintained
Supervise inspection of work in various disciplines
Assist in resolution of agency nonconformance reports
Coordinate quality control program with job site departments and contractors
As required by quality control program manual, perform activities such as audits, preparation of agency standards, notification to management of quality problems, etc
Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel including personnel administration, resolution of technical problems, development/approval of in-house training, etc
Act as liaison with owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on quality related matters as required
Review budget, materials, and time schedules
Insure agency standards as outlined in quality control manual are effectively implemented
Insure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance
Implement and manage the overall Quality Management Program for the project
Designate appropriate trained personnel to perform audits
Review Design and/or Construction Quality Control Process periodically for conformance
Organize and maintain a document control system for all quality data
Review and certify progress
Review and confirm timing of payments made to utility owners
Review budgets, materials, and time schedules
Coordinate reviews with outside entities
Review and close all Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Assist in developing a plan for process change to eliminate nonconformance trends
Review change requests to release packages for conformance with QMP
Develop and maintain shop drawing submittal log
Maintains knowledge of the companies values and strategic plan
Support published corporate policies
Perform additional assignments per managements direction
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 10 years quality control experience related experience and/or training
Must Have a Valid California PE license is a requirementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
