A WDO Inspector is a multi-faceted job. Individuals should be knowledgeable in all aspects of termite and wood destroying organisms including repair and construction work. Job duties include performing termite inspections, (which involves making findings), recommended proper corrective services, selling recommended services, monitoring recommended services to completion, then asking for referrals from your satisfied customers. A thorough inspection involves physical work particularly crawling in sub-area and attic. Additional job responsibilities are to promote new clients while maintaining present clients (realtors). Other duties deemed by management team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administration 1.The inspection must be performed according to company guidelines. 2.Inspection reports must be completed on the day of inspection or first thing the following morning. 3.Inspectors must review all pages and sign report 4.Report must be mailed within 3 days after the completion on inspection. 5.Inspectors are not to sign completion notices. WDO Inspector will need the minimal
Qualifications:
good writing and communications skills. Other requirements include:
18 yrs or older,
valid Drivers license,
pass Pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
Be able to attract new business.
Work well independently
Understanding of today's electronics: Handheld scanners, PDA's, email, Windows software, smart phones, etc. is an integral part of the inspectors daily operations. Must have a mechanical ability, an intense curiosity, great communication skills, and above & beyond customer service skills
All services are to be explained to the customer as soon as possible, preferably after completing the inspection. Sales are to be made personally (face to face) whenever possible at clients convenience or made over the phone. A job will be considered sold when a potential customer signs the word order agreement or valid purchase order has been received or when Escrow confirms or 1/3 down payment. WDO inspectors also qualify for lead incentives on general pest control service.
Services that are done properly are the key to future business. Monitoring the performance of sold services is very important to your success in the future. Satisfied customers are building blocks you can use to form new business, all you have to do is ask for a referral. Promoting new clients and maintaining present clients is important for continuing business. Building your customer base must be consistent and planned. Promotional aids are good; however, personal contact is always best. Resolve to do your best, the job you will be doing is very important. Commit to quality, communicate, sell, monitor the results of your effort, and always be professional.
